Network Security Engineer

Global IT Team:

The Global IT team at Integrity is responsible for 24x7 high-availability operations of our client-facing technology infrastructure, as well as for providing global support for all Company employees, contractors, and partners for internal IT requirements. We are a small, dynamic team focused on delivering the best service possible by leveraging leading-edge technology.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility is for the security, architecture, implementation, maintenance, and operation of the Company’s internal and production security systems infrastructure. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Extend the Company’s data security policies and practices in accordance to recognized standards;
  • Assist in ensuring 24x7 security of Integrity’s global network infrastructure;
  • Participate in ongoing design and expansion of secure, fault-tolerant network infrastructure;
  • Provide first-level incident response, including outages and incidents;
  • Maintain all security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus environment, and related edge and internal systems;
  • Manage and support secure mobile/remote access;
  • Provide first-level response to Company employees on network/data security issues; and
  • Complete other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area of study, or a minimum of 3 years experience in security engineering/operations or similar function, preferably within an international support team environment. Experience in supporting standard Windows-based network infrastructure; familiarity with key network/security concepts and applications, including intrusion detection/prevention, access control, and encryption; and experience with network management systems are required. The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills are required; demonstrated ability to deliver superior support in a dynamic 24x7 environment, includes participating in an on-call 24x7 support rotation;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required, including ability for user, customer, and technical writing; must be able to effectively work with and communicate with individuals with a widely varying level of technical ability;
  • Hands-on experience with: Cisco IDS/IPS, ASA edge devices, load balancers and SSL accelerators, and Catalyst switches; global domain name management; fault-tolerant DNS configuration; network Solarwinds management system (or similar); wide-area network infrastructure, including Cisco VPNs; intrusion detection/prevention systems; secure wireless network design and implementation; single sign-on technologies; security incident investigation; and Windows 2003/2008 AD and IIS 6.0/7.0;
  • Experience with packet- and log- capture and analysis concepts, tools and techniques;
  • Desire to work in a small-team environment with the ability to work independently and with the team; effectively plan and manage own projects for accuracy and timelines, ensuring deadlines are met; and
  • Understand and support the Company’s goals, business and values.

Reporting:

Will report to the Vice President, Global Support Services and will work closely with all IT Team members and others throughout the Company as needed.

Location:

Waltham, Massachusetts; telecommuting is not an option.

Compensation and Benefits:
